Octavian, 44-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.69 g, 5 h), military mint moving with Octavian in Italy, spring-summer 42. CAESAR•III VIR•R•P•C Bare head of Octavian with slight beard to right. Rev. Wreath set on curule chair inscribed CAESAR•DIC•PER. Babelon (Julia) 89. Crawford 497/2a. CRI 137. RBW 1756. Sydenham 1322. Beautifully toned. Small banker's marks and with light scratches and minor weakness on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
